Mike and Linda Jones from the Meads Trust were shown around by Huw John (CVT Chief Executive) and Nick Weames ( Camphill St Albans General Manager) and met staff and residents from the community while touring the facility
A donation from The Meads Trust was instrumental in converting an old dilapidated building into a modern multi purpose community centre. Michaelmas Hall provides opportunities for a range of activities in a warm and homely environment.
Commenting on his visit Michael said:
''We are delighted to have contributed to the building of Michaelmas Hall which provides a fantastic centre for the St Albans Camphill community. We very much enjoyed our visit to the Hall and were most impressed with the enthusiasm and vitality of the many staff and residents we met. We wish the community and the Hall a long, happy and successful future''.

Expressing thanks General Manager Nick Weames said” We were pleased to be able to show Mike and Linda how this donation has helped create a wonderful facility for the whole St Albans community.
The ancient festival of Michaelmas is also synonymous with Harvest time and to celebrate this the community came together for a meal in Michaelmas Hall with food gathered from their own allotment.
