19th October 2016 by Croft Community
Apple Day 2016 was a great success for The Croft Community, family and friends who visited from across the country. Although we planned for rain as forecast we were extremely lucky and had a glorious sunny day. We would like to thank everyone for their support, we raised over £700.00 on the day.

Joseph sold lots of his hand woven rugs, especially the new themed rugs, which Joseph hand dyes the material before weaving them.
A new edition to one of our Community Open Days was the Snail Racing . . . yes Snail Racing ! We had a number of entries from the grounds of the Croft Community along with entries from Scarborough and Barton-le-Street. It was a hoot - honestly. We will be running the snail races again at our Spring Fair along with other new mini beast activities.
Homemade lunch was made by Yew Tree, and we served Pumpkin Soup or Tomato & Garlic Soup with bread made our Kingfisher Cafe. All the produce for the soups was grown in our gardens at the Croft.
