Cats Eye Carving

Caroline carried out a degree in sculpture in Canterbury which she followed with an apprenticeship at Gloucester Cathedral training in the craft of traditional Stonemasonry. She worked as a commercial stonemason in and around Gloucestershire before setting up her business in November 2005.

As well as welcoming commissions, Caroline designs and carves imaginative and unique creations suitable for the home and garden. Her Bookends, ornaments and words are carved out of the wide variety of sandstone available in the Forest of Dean, Tetbury Limestone from Gloucestershire, Portland limestone from Dorset and Welsh and Cornish slate. Caroline has a delightful selection of clocks available to buy or these can be designed to suit a particular space.

As well as stone carving, Caroline has designed and continues to develop an interesting range of jewellery made with sterling silver and Welsh slate. She carves and models clay and then casts from these in an acrylic-based plaster to form interesting ornaments suitable for both inside the home and are weatherproof so perfect to ornament the garden.

She is inspired by the wonders of mother nature, the use of maths in natural form as well as creative architecture. This is apparent in the lovely sculptures that can be found in her workshop and shop.

Caroline also offers activities for all ages during the school holidays, prices start from £5.
