The Croft Community celebrates a successful Spring Fayre with Craft and garden produce and delicious cakes.

Local friends, family members, staff and residents at the Croft Community came together and celebrated the many and varied achievements of the Malton community.

“We are pleased to invite people from the locality to enjoy the day with us”, said Stuart Orrell the Community’s registered manager. Everybody here has worked very hard to make the day fun, entertaining and worthwhile.” “Its great to have so much to show and exhibit both from our garden produce and also from our busy workshops. We have so many quality products made by some very talented and enthusiastic people”.

Beautiful mosaics sat side by side with intricate felt designs. The latest Community workshop showed off its range of soaps and outside there were a range of garden shrubs and plants.

Joseph who helps in the Textile workshop when not baking bread at the Community’s local Kingfisher commented,” Its been a really nice day. I enjoyed meeting all the people and showing them all the many things we make here”.

A selection of delicious cakes and quiches were also available. Tom who was in charge of the ’Splat the Rat stall enjoyed a steady stream of contestants eager to immobilize the rodent but luckily ‘Bashed Rat’ wasn’t on the café menu.
