Gold for Rosalyn

The generous folk at Larchfield are so proud of each other's achievements that several different people stopped me to ask if I had seen Rosalyn's gold medal. Curiosity aroused I found Rosalyn in the craft workshop and asked her for an interview for the website. Rosalyn is a day placement who works in the craft, café and farm workshops. Rosalyn is also a crown green bowler with the Skelton and Cleveland Special Olympics team. Rosalyn told me how she won her gold medal ..........

Dan - The Walking Man!

Daniel is well known for his love of walking and setting up a brisk pace across moors and parkland with a daily walk being an important part of his regular routine. On the 18th of May Daniel will be taking part in a sponsored walk around Danby covering a distance of 11 kilometres.

Sisters United

'Sisters United' is the name of the women's group that meets every two months at Larchfield. The members comprise community members, day placements, women from the local Teesside Ability Support Centre and individuals with their own support. The most recent meeting was in April with eighteen members attending.

Prize Bingo Night Fun with a Lasting Outcome

The Larchfield Learn to Lead Team were hosts to more than 50 people at a Prize Bingo Evening in March. As well as playing Bingo a pie and pea supper was included with the ticket price and there was also the chance to win on the Easter Egg raffle. The aim of the evening was more than just fun, there was a plan afoot!
