The hall was booked; Val from the bakery kindly agreed to make the pies and peas; bingo tickets and pens were bought; tickets were designed and printed; Glenn approached local shops for prizes and a request went out for donations of chocolate eggs as raffle prizes.
On the evening of Thursday, 13th of April about 50 people turned out for what was a great evening. A huge amount of prizes and chocolate eggs had been generously donated. Glenn had brought along his Bingo equipment and things soon got under way.
Glenn ready to draw the numbers Eyes down!
Val Pink not only made the pies and peas, she also stayed on to serve them and was helped by Sue Atkinson. Sue had a busier evening than expected as she also stepped in at the last minute to be the Bingo caller when the microphone system failed. The food was delicious and nearly everyone went home with a prize or an Easter egg. The whole evening raised an incredible £287 and after costs will leave a profit of £203. An amazing achievement and a brilliant display of teamwork.
