Badge Design Chosen

The Larchfield Learn to Lead team always have a strong presence at family days and have represented Larchfield at external events; recently two of the team presented the views of Larchfield's men's group at a Talking Travel conference in Hartlepool. With this is mind they decided that they would like to have something to wear that would identify them at Regional Forums, Family Days, when representing Larchfield and within Larchfield generally.

New Look for Larchfield Cow

In late summer 2016 the Larchfield Learn to Lead team ran a competition to design a new look for the cow sculpture that sits at the entrance of Larchfield Community. Fourteen designs were submitted and each community member and day placement had a vote to choose their favourite. 60 people cast a vote and it was a neck and neck situation for a while but in the end Martyn's design of a brown and white cow was the clear winner. Recently, a long spell of dry weather meant that the repairs and repainting could go ahead.

Mind your speed!

In February 2016 the Larchfield Learn to Lead team drew up a list of projects stemming from issues they had identified as affecting the whole community. One of the projects related to safety on site and has now been completed thanks to the hard work of Paul East and Matthew Wingeatt.
