A Christmas Community Meal

Christmas 2017 got off to a rousing start when a two course Christmas Lunch was served to over 100 community members, day placements and staff on the 22nd of December. The kitchen and cafe staff pulled out all the stops and within 20 minutes everyone had been served with a piping hot, tasty meal.

A Silver Anniversary for Val

On the 9th of November 2017, Val Pink reached quite a milestone in Larchfield's history having worked in the bakery for 25 years, originally coming to Larchfield to support husband Chris who had been employed to take charge of the bakery. Val was the driver of the family and took charge of deliveries as well as working as Chris's assistant. Working hours then were 6am - 2pm and Val remembers that the building of Aspen House and the Guild had just been completed.

Larchfield Recycles all the way to Uganda

Anne Mannix is one of the support workers at Larchfield and earlier in the year she asked everyone in the community if they could contribute any unwanted wool and knitting needles for a project her friend Eddie was involved in. The wool and needles were destined for a knitting project in Kabale in Uganda.
