Last month we hosted the South West regional forum and the people we support were involved in making and cooking food for our fellow community members from Berith & Camphill Partnership, Grange Village, Oaklands Park & Lydney Community Support.
The day before the regional forum Jenny and Dawn baked biscuits and this was a great opportunity for Jenny to learn and utilise a range of baking skills in a catering kitchen. Between Jenny and Dawn they made over 100 handmade biscuits as a treat for our fellow community on their arrival at the forum. “The biscuits were absolutely delicious and they were enjoyed by all community members who tried them. We are looking forward to making more for visitors to our café next year” – Dawn, Front of house manager.
For lunch Dawn was joined by Jim who helped her to cook on the barbeque, a range of local produce was cooked which included burgers, sausages, and Haloumi. “Jim did a great job cooking on the barbeque and working with Jim was a great pleasure and very enjoyable” - Dawn, Front of house manager.
